Our 1 Year Old!

Even though a bracelet and balloons were lost, we still had fun...

I tell you what, that tongue! He gets it from my side of the family...it is a Shelley boy thing.

My little GQ man!!

Picture Day

I really wanted to take pictures of Cache and since Friday's weather was pretty nice, that is what we did. Though, it did not go as planned.

First of all, I love colorful balloons as props for kids, there is SO much you can do with them! We arrive at our destination, I get the balloons out, which are tied to my bracelet so they don't fly away. This bracelet is pretty heavy and pretty dang cute, by thew way. Steve has Cache, I let go of the balloons thinking my bracelet will ground them...
...nope. Steve as my witness I put forth a valiant effort to get them. He also laughed as he watched me gaze up at the sky as I pointed my camera to the balloons not knowing what else to do. Funny thing, I was more ticked about loosing the balloons then my House of Harlo bracelet.

Second, Cache was sleeping. I mean full on, nothing could wake him up sleeping. So we walked around for a bit when all of the sudden woke up, not by his choice. A car scared him. So we were not off to a good start. Most of the pictures looked like this...

And this...

Remember how Cache DOES NOT like his crib at all? Well I found out he just doesn't like bars...

I suppose this is a good sign that he will never go to jail.

Mmmm...mmmm. Birthday Cupcake

Pictures can speak louder than words...

Yummy ....Red Velvet Cupcake

Delicious! Now what...

....A BATH!

A whole lot of this...

Lead to this..
And This...

Happy Birthday Cacherz! We are happy you enjoyed your birthday cupcake!

By the way...those of you wondering if I would do that again,
Yes.
In a heartbeat.
He LOVED it and it was his birthday and I'm pretty sure that was his favorite part.
The look on his face and the memories made it worth the stain on my clothes and the mess we had to clean.

Maybe I would re-think the red velvet...

Cache's First Birthday

Today I woke up to my Mommy looking so excited. She was all ready for the day and looked ridiculously excited to play with me. She didn't even go to work! She started off my day with some pictures, I wouldn't be surprised if she took pictures while I was ASLEEP!

Yup, she did.

After my pictures I went and ate some breakfast with mom. I was suppose to eat Bananas but her smoothie was so much better, I had to have that instead.

During breakfast we played some peek-a-boo...
Peek

A
Boo!

Then it was time for my bath! I LOVE bath time.

I get pretty excited when I make things stand up. This is my "I did it!!" face. Cute, yes?

Then...it was time to get out. I wasn't too happy about that.
But mommy said, "Cache you were in there for so long you were turning into a prune! See?"

I have NO idea what she was talking about.

We played some games around the house and then someone walked in...it was...
DADDY!!!

I ran over to the stairs to welcome him! He came home early for my big day! He picked me up threw me in the air and gave me kisses...
Then we got ready to run errands for my party!
I waited patiently in my car seat.
We ate at the Pizza Factory and I waved at EVERYONE!!

Then it was back out into the cold, damp air for more errands. It was worth it though, because I got Balloons!
I carried them around for an hour!
I'm counting making sure none flew away..
I went to go see how dad was doing building my toys...I couldn't forget my balloons.
I was holding on tight..

The first guests arrived...

Uncle T.J and Auntie Mandi

Then it was time for my partay!!

We had lots of food and had laughed a lot.
Then it was time for cake...that is a whole different story.
I was too excited about my cousins being with me and the toys, that I couldn't concentrate to open my presents. So mommy and daddy did.

I kept getting more and more presents! So many people LOVE me!

Then it was time for everyone to go home. I stayed up and played with my toys for a little bit longer and then I went to sleep.

Thank you everyone for coming to my party! I love you!
