Game Day

Oh wow, today was a big day for my boys. GAME DAY! It was so cute to see Steve all excited about watching the game with his boy.

In our family we cheer for two teams (the day they play eachother, if ever, will be interesting) BYU!! *(can you tell who I would root for?) and Ohio State. Today Ohio played at 10:00 a.m and BYU at 5:00 p.m., which Steve loved because there was no conflict of interest.

Our family woke up earilier than usual for a Saturday and I was glad because I wanted to beat the morning rush at Walmart. The store took longer than usual...as it always does for me. When I got home I saw Steve beaming as he was watching the Ohio game with Cache in his arms. It was so cute, he had Cache dressed in his BYU jersey and an Ohio hat that was way too big.

After the Ohio game and some chores we headed to BYU to take pictures of Cache with the cougar at Lavell Edwards Stadium (as you may have seen in the previous post). We didn't stop taking pictures there (what? It is in my blood, they weren't kidding when they said Asians take lots of pictures) we took pictures throughout the day.

SO...here our the Game Day Pics

OHIO had victory over Navy (whoever the heck they are) and that made my boys happy
On to Game #2 for the day
Thought I should throw in this picture as it is applicable to this post
I shall narrate for Cache
Cache nervously sucking his binkie during this nail biting game.
"Are you sure you want to call that play Bronco?"
"Ya buddy! Are you guys seeing this?!"
"We WON!!! HA HA!! YESS!"
"Oh man, that is how you start a season!"
Not like those U of U pansies...I threw that in there for Jonas
"Good game Bronco. I knew you guys could do it."
"Way to upset em' Cougars!"

Very Happy Husband
We had a good day. Ohio won, BYU won, we took pictures, had a fun weekend outing, got lots of things done but most importantly we got to spend some time all together.
**Heavenly Father I LOVE Cache so much and I LOVE that he is a boy. He was just meant to be one and I wouldn't have it any other way. But, do you think I can have a girl next time I plan/unexpectedly have a child? A girl who will love to go shopping with me during football season and do all the girly girl stuff I love to do. And if you can throw in a love for sparkles and the ability to sit still for as long as necessary while I do her hair and paint her nails, that would be fun.
One boy and one girl. Just think about it. But just so you know I will love whatever you choose to give me. And you will have a VERY long time to think about this as I am not planning on any more babies for a couple years. Amen.

BYU

Today we went to BYU for our weekend outing. We chose to go there because today was BYU's first game of the season.

Oh man I love these boys

6 Months

Baby Boy!! I can not believe 6 months ago today I was in the hospital holding a tiny you in my arms.

Now you are 16.95 pounds (44th percentile) and 27 1/2" long (88th percentile). You're a lil' string bean, probably because you are so active ALL the time. You need somethin in your hands at all times. You are doing this army crawl thing and you are sitting up. You are so smiley and make everyone around you happy.

We love you!

1/2 a year old!

Cache doin what we call "the crooked bink.

You can tell which side he is teething on huh.

Cache has become extremely mobile. As you can see he is already getting into everything and making messes.

Always happy and smiling. He is just a good natured lil' guy

Cache baby I love ya! This picture above is of you on your 6 month birthday.

Thank you for being an amazing child.

Click to see how much Cache has grown...and how repetitive I am at saying how fast he is growing .

First hair cut and Back 2 School

Auntie gave Cache his first hair cut today. He had some long fringe going on and his fohawk (?) was getting a bit too long.

At first he was chill, then his hands were constrained by the apron and no longer was my son chill. Then he knew something was up and well...he cried. Not only did he cry he flung his strangely strong, powerful baby body all over the place. Then Mandi gave him a sucker (without his mommy permission!) and he calmed down for 10 seconds. It was quite the experience. My Auntie has major skills though because Cache's hair turned out C-U-T-E!

BACK-2-SCHOOL

Why am I randomly posting this subject with another that has not correlation to it? Well because I'm a working mommy again. I truly just don't have time. Not only am I back to work my family has been doing fun stuff together since my Grandparents are visiting from Hawaii.

Here is the jest of things this week

*Monday- Dropped Cache off at Grandma Karie's house. I will never forget that face, he looked at me like,  "mommy where are you going?" and started to cry. To put the cherry on top he made his extremely heart breaking frown.

Drove to work, cried. Sat through meetings, was super bored so teared up a lil' more. Then was cheered up by my awesome co-workers as some of them are hilarious and say the most off the wall things.

More meetings.  RUSHED to pick up Cache who had only cried for a little bit and was fine the rest of the day.

Mommy duty and went to visit the fam.

*Tuesday

Got ready. Pumped some bottles.

Was VERY happy Steve would be home with Cache the whole day.
Kissed my 2 favorite people good-bye and went to work.

Prepared for the open house.
Met kids. Met parents. Fun Stuff.

RUSHED home to my boys.

Mommy Time

*Wednesday

Again VERY happy Steve would be home with Cache

Kissed the boys good-bye and went to work.
First day of school for the kids, FUN DAY!! I have 30 AWESOME 6th graders.

Talked a lot (rules, expectations, procedures, getting to know you games, etc.)

Thought about Cache all day because he was going to the doctor at 2:40 (6 months stats to be posted later)

Mommy time

*Thursday

Steve had the morning off so I again kissed my boys goodbye

Lost my voice for 20 minutes. No Bueno
 Another good day at school.

Went to my mom's house to pick up Cache who had been quite the ham for them. They loved it.

*Friday
Steve woke up at 4:30 a.m to get ready for a work meeting.

Put on make-up while hoping Cache would sleep longer and he did...Oh so nice! Dropped Cache off at Mom's house.

*Drove to work

Poured 30 cups of orange juice, handed out the students first test.

Learned that one student can do a back bend and touch head to toes, another is VERY allergic to bees.

*Killed disgusting praymantis one of my students brought in and put on her desk b/c she thinks they are cute. (Sorry student, I do not think they are cute...did I mention my location of work seems to have strangely large praymantis?)

RUSHED home more excited than ever to have a weekend.

*Saturday
Visited family (I wish my gramma and grammpa would just live here)

Cache is so sweet and took a nap with his mommy for 2 hours!! Which was SO nice seeing as this week was insane and I slept like I had a newborn cuz I had so much to do.

Next week my goal is to get more sleep. I had bags under my eyes! Who just gets those. No worries they are gone now.

Cache babe, I love you. Thank you for being so dang cute and for being an angel for your grandmas! I must say I was worried since I had you on my hip all summer...but that is because I wanted to spend every second with you since I knew I would have to go back to work. Summer went by WAY to fast.

Steve, THANK YOU!!  You have helped me so much. Thank you for taking those days off of work, helped a lot.  Thank you for taking such good care of us!

THANK YOU Karie and mom for watching Cache! I would not be able to do this without you. I know my baby is in GOOD hands.

Is it bad to say that I am VERY happy there is no church on Sunday because I plan to catch up on sleep?

Cache meets girl

Cache has met his future wifey to be. Yup, that is right, little miss Sydney Sage.

2 Years & Counting

July 27th was our 2nd anniversary!!
Pretty awesome huh ;)
Don't want to get all mushy....so
Steven Michael I love you oh so very much!
I am so content and happy with life.
These 2 years have been such the best ;)
You make me so happy!
This year we became a family

Blessing, Bliss, Joy, Love, Happiness, Responsibility, Desire, Motivation

Day after our wedding

Day before Steve left

The daySteve was sick so I got to care of him ;) He's always doing that for me so I was happy

This is how awesome Steve is.
This may not look like to much to you, but it means the world to me.
This little gumby looking thing was made by Steve. In my El. Ed Art Class we had to choose from 20 different art projects to do. 3 of my projects had suspiciously disappeared from the drying rack the day before it was due. In a panick I went home REALLY stressed. I had 18 projects done, 15 available and it was 10:00 p.m when I left HBL Library.
Steve knew of my predicament and when I got home he had the clay all made ready to go.
He made this little project and helped me with another. We were up til 2:00 a.m painting, sculpting and sketching.
Do you know a man who can make something so tender?
Isn't it cute

Hanging Out @ the pool is something we do lots

This is how we let people know we were having the baby.
Steve saw this shirt and thought it was hilarious!
Cache has not worn it, seeing as this is a girl color.

Terminator! ;) There was a birds nest on our roof by our kitchen window. At first it was cute, then it got poopie AND then they attacked. There was no hose long enough to be able to shoot it down, so we bought the biggest, best water gun we could find and shot that thing down.

This year has been pretty amazing!

5 Months & a pioneer celebration

Cache shared his 5 month mark with the pioneers. So we did like the pioneers and went hiking ;)

Cache LOVED the water. We couldn't get him to look at the Camera because he was staring at the water.

Cache has such a little rascal look!
For Cache: The Water

We stopped at Sundance along the way.

Cache once again intrigued by the water
They are sooo cute!!

Now for the Stats of the 5 month mark:
  • We had to take Cache to the doctor because he had some stuff going on and while we were waiting for the doctor we measured him.
  • 27" long
  • 16.7 lbs.

Fun Stuff:

  • Poses for the camera! Stick a camera (that looks like mine) in his face and he will stop crying to look up at you and give you a huge smile.
  • Gets into EVERYTHING!! On Monday I was making Steve lunch and Cache was in his Bumbo on the counter. I strategically moved everything out of his reach...so I thought. He had his eye on the bottle drying rack. I'm making lunch as fast as I can because I was already late to meet my friends, I look up and Cache is scooting himself and the bumbo to the rack. He little feet were pushing so hard. I couldn't help but stare, he made it to the drying rack, picked it up, broke off one of the drying stands. I tell you what I need to super glue that kid down!
  • Right now as we speak he has pushed and grabbed everything on my desk within his reach. Now he is eying the keyboard
  • He loves to crinkle paper
  • Plays peek a boo
  • HAS to be right by me to fall asleep. If Steve takes him to cuddle so I can stretch, he will cry and roll until he gets right next to me.
  • At night and sometimes during the day he is an Opihi (Sticks right to me, doesn't want anyone else)
  • Loves to watch his dad play basketball
  • Loves outside
  • Loves walks
  • Doesn't like it when people scream, yell or suddenly make loud noises
  • No teeth yet...and I hope they stay at bay
  • ACTIVE little boy who is still afraid of the dark.

This kiddo keeps us on our toes but we LOVE it!!

Just a thought

Here I am at my parents house. School starts in two weeks and I am holding on to my son at all times. But I am also realizing how lucky I am...I have the world's top babysitters who will love my baby almost as much as I do. Grandmas. Can't go wrong there. I just want them to know that I fully appreciate all of their help.  Both of them are amazing women and I am happy to have both of them close by.

Last night Steve and I were talking about life and ya know what... life wouldn't be quite right without all of you in it. This has given me more motivation to record even the most insignificant event. I am not one to post my life on here because I like to keep the majority of my life personal, thus my love for journals. I have one for every occasion. 15 of them actually. My recent favorite to grab and write i is Cache's letter journal. I write him lots of letters and memories.

Once in awhile I may do what I am doing now and share a lil' something about myself and family but this blog is about the basics of our life and that includes all of you! Those of you who aren't on here yet...you will be! Watch out! Cousins, Aunties, Uncles and Great Grandparents  in Hawaii and Idaho get ready to get your superstar on because I intend on having a full on photo shoot. For you little cousins, we'll just prop ya'll on top of each other.

Thank you for the memories of the past and future, being part of our lives and making this our life as we know it.
